Your role at Knauf :
Mission:
The Administration & Planning Controller plays a dual role:
1. SG&A / Admin Controlling – owning performance control over admin functions of the region, ensuring transparency, discipline, and efficiency across all overheads (Sales, HR, Procurement, Supply-Chain and others), including internal benchmarking, cost & headcount reporting and analysis.
2. Planning & Reporting Coordination – acting as the process owner of regional forecasting, budgeting, and reporting cycles, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality output is delivered to Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Admin / SG&A Controlling :
- Ownership of the performance tracking system for the admin functions of the region (7 countries).
- Monitor and analyze SG&A expenses, FTEs, and overhead allocations across all countries.
- Lead internal benchmarking of overheads between countries and functions.
- Assisting in designing and implementing new systems of controls, reports, KPI dashboards, information flows, reporting procedures to drive business performance of the region.
- Provide cost efficiency insights and partner with functional leaders to challenge and optimize spend.
- Ensuring reporting accuracy and adherence to group standards.
- Consolidation, preparation and presentation of regional reporting to group stakeholders in admin area.
- Act as owner of the regional planning calendar (budget, forecasts, monthly reporting).
- Manage timelines, track submissions, and consolidate status for CFO / Head of Controlling.
- Ensure consistent reporting templates and methodologies across all controllers.
- Coordinate with BI/Data Analyst to improve automation and reduce manual workload.
- Assemble final reporting packages for submission to Group, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Continuous Improvement :
- Propose and implement improvements in planning and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with other members of regional finance team on system & process enhancements and master data consistency.
Your assets for this position :
Education & Experience :
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years in controlling, FP&A, or finance business partner roles, ideally with exposure to SG&A/overhead controlling in multinational organization.
- Proven experience managing planning or reporting processes across multiple entities/countries.
- Experience with SAP S3 (S4 Hana), SAP BW and BI tools (Power BI, TM1, or similar) highly desirable.

- Fluent in English; additional European languages an asset.
